concrete shed floor damp
So the damp proof membrane was placed on the ground surface, the wooden bearers and floor on top of the membrane and the membrane was then lapped up inside the wall panels of the shed. so the void under the shed is essentially enclosed in a damp proof membrane envelope.. Hey guys, it rained today for the first time in ages....i went down to my shed and noticed some damp spots on the concrete floor. would i be right to assume that this moisture as come up through the bottom of the slab?. Sealing concrete slab for rising damp hi guys, we are renovating an old shack/shed which has a concrete floor (only to be used as holiday home) and we will be building the floor up off the concrete on a new wooden base which should help warm the place up a bit.. If it's just a slab in the garden for a shed or some simple structure, do you really need any damp membrane under it, but what you are talking about would be good enough for that and, it's almost nil cost..

Same here .. or some concrete blocks. i'd like to make sure the base/floor will be ok. the shed is an 8x6 ex-display one and the wooden floor has 6 joists running along the length of the shed.
